Personality: To say this lovely lady is anything short of a danger to others would be a complete lie. Rosetta is a nasty bitch, to put it simple. Rather unpredictable around others, she tolerates no nonsense. However, respect her, obey any commands she gives, and show submission and you might not have much difficulty with her. Infact, what makes her so unpredictable is the fact she's a very dominant female. The queen bitch of things, who won't put up with anything, regardless of the size, age, or gender. However, her tolerance is even lower towards other bitches, and highest for pups and youngsters. Towards the males, it varies highly with the specific male.
Both a fighting dog, and a mother, Rose can be highly vicious -- but also shockingly motherly. Infact, you'd never know she was the same dog to see her with pups. She's nurturing and protective. As the pups get older, however, her disposition steadily toughens towards them, ensuring they know who the alpha is. So long as respect is always given, however, she seems to hold a soft spot for those who she was around when they were pups. In the case that someone gets to her good side, they'll find Rosetta has a halfway decent personality. Perhaps even affectionate, as long as you don't set her off.
Appearance: Not exactly as large dog, Rosetta is a Pit Bull -- only eighteen inches at the shoulders, and about fourty pounds on average, give or take. Relatively pretty, her fur is a single color, with slight darkening and fading depending on the area. The color is a light tawny, matched with a pink-brown nose, and dark amber-brown eyes. The bitch's fur is rather short, exposing some mild scars. Although none are particularly note-worthy or severe. Rose's ears are chopped short -- though he tail has been left natural.
As for built, she's neither bulky and muscular nor dainty and slim. A sturdy dog, but not 'masculine' looking. Despite a rather short stature, she could easily hold her own, and has plenty of lean muscle. A glance to her stomach would show that the bitch has had a few litters in the past, perhaps explaining her disposition towards pups and younger dogs. If anything could make Rosetta seem less vicious, it'd be the pink bandana worn around her neck, with pawprints scatted over it in while. Of course, this just conceals her choker chain.
History: Born to a pair of dogs used for fighting, Rosetta was another branch to an expansive tree of Pit Bulls used in the ring. Her master had been breeding and fighting the breed for generations, keeping the ones he saw to have the most potential, and selling the lesser ones to others in the business, and sometimes even as pets. He saw the potential of Rochester and Spice as a pair, and gave it a shot. The first litter was the one that brought Rosetta into the world.
Of the litter, she was the rose, the master said. So, he named her Rosetta and kept her. The rest of the litter was sold to fellow dogfighters. Life really wasn't bad for the pup. The master encouraged her aggressive side carefully, making sure not to foster it towards humans, and to keep it in check. Only on command would she threaten the life of another creature. This training was necessary -- he intended to keep the lines going, and an out-of-control bitch would kill it's offspring.
Once old enough, Rose was started in the ring. And she did excellent. Quite quickly, she showed what selective breeding could do, and it wasn't all that long before she was bred for the first time. A good mother, she devotedly tended her first litter; though it wasn't without flaw, as the bitch had no experience with pups. Devestating to her, she lost two of the litter -- simply because they were small and weak. The master made no extra effort to ensure their survival. Survival of the fittest, afterall.
Once old enough, her pups were sold; aside from one the master kept. He worked her back into shape, and started her fighting once more in a non-fatal catagory. This was how life went for her, mostly. Spend some time recovering, re-enter the ring, show herself to be an excellent quality fight, and then be bred. She certaintly was her master's rose. She paid for her keep quite well, along with multiple others. This gave her a bit of special treatment. Not to be mistaken, she was still just a source of income.
When the raid occured on the fighting ring, Rosetta was present, however, not being fought. She was there with her newly weaned pups, attending them as they were sold off. In the chaos, her pups were taken away -- despite her quite-aggressive attempts at protecting them. Hope lost, she took off, into the city. Since then, she, like many others, has joined into the pack of ex-fighting dogs that formed; and quickly found her way to the position of dominant bitch.
