Please read these rules carefully. They concern any fighting and conflict that may occur. Ignorance is no excuse.
1. Absolutely no OOC fighting. These rules concern in character fights. Any out of character fighting will result in prompt punishment. It's entirely unacceptable for members to start trouble amongst themselves. Get along. You're characters can be bitter enemies, but I expect you to be civil.
2. Three dodge rule. For every three times you dodge, you must take a hit. This means, if your character evades and attack, evades another, then a third, the fourth has to hit. It doesn't matter if the other tries to rip your throat out. So, use your dodges wisely.
3. Dodge reset. After you take a hit, your dodges reset. This means you can, once more, dodge three times, before you absolutely must take a hit. However, I recommend not dodging three times in a row, ever. Because the other member will know you can't dodge anymore, and guess what? They can use it to win.
4. Counter-attacks neutralize. Your character can make an attack to counter another attack. This is neither a dodge or an attack. It will reset your dodges, but won't do any damage. There's no limit to counters, however, if you seem to be abusing them, staff may step in.
5. Fleeing in battle. If you decide to try to escape, you must take into consideration your character's situation. If the opponent has a grip on them, they need to get free of that first. If they're injured, they may not move as well. You must ATTEMPT to escape. The other player can prevent you, or allow you.
6. Away while fighting. Under no circumstances can you leave a fight RP active while you are away for more than THREE days. If you'll be gone for more than three days, you must either flee the battle fairly, win it fairly, or lose fairly. An outcome can be agreed upon out of character, if necessary. But staff must be informed, and it is entiely final.
7. Gone with no warning. If someone leaves a fight post hanging for three or more days, with no absent warning, or leaves a post hanging for three or more days while they are active elsewhere on the site, the other person and staff will decide the outcome of the fight, and they will receive a warning.
8. Staff supervision. Staff should supervise all fights. Please alert them when a fight begins, so they can keep tabs on it as it progresses. This will help save drama if something comes up, and save us the work of having to read a dozen posts at once, when we could be keeping up with it as it goes.
9. Warning for fighting. Please place some sort of warning in the thread title, or CLEARLY before the start of the first post. This is so sensitive people can avoid violence if they decide, and so no one can say they weren't aware.
